Applicants must have a minimum of 5 O-Level passes including Mathematics, English Language, and a Science subject (Agriculture, Biology, or Chemistry). For specific programmes, additional subject requirements may apply. A-Level holders with relevant subjects may receive advanced standing. Mature entry candidates (25 years and above) with relevant agricultural experience may also be considered.

Applications for the January intake typically open in August and close in November of the preceding year. Applications for the August intake open around March and close in June. You will need to upload certified copies of: (1) National ID or passport, (2) O-Level and/or A-Level certificates or results slip, (3) Two passport-size photos, (4) A completed application form (available online), and (5) An application fee proof of payment. Additional documents such as a CV or recommendation letter may strengthen your application but are not mandatory.

Yes, international students are welcome to apply. In addition to the standard requirements, you will need to provide: a valid passport, certified translations of your academic documents, and proof of study permit eligibility. The standard National Diploma in Agriculture is a 3-year programme. This includes two years of classroom instruction and practical training at the college, followed by a one-year industrial attachment at an approved agricultural enterprise. Some short courses and certificates may range from a few weeks to six months.

Yes. All diploma programmes are accredited by the Higher Education Examinations Council (HEXCO) and recognized by the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development. Our graduates are eligible for further studies at universities and are recognised across the SADC region.

Practical training is a core component of all programmes. Students work on the college's commercial farm units — including crop fields, livestock pens, dairy parlour, piggery, poultry houses, and engineering workshops. Practical sessions are supervised by lecturers and farm managers. During the third year, students are placed at external farms and agribusinesses for real-world industrial attachment.

Absolutely. EAC diploma graduates can apply for degree programmes at universities such as the University of Zimbabwe, Midlands State University, Lupane State University, and others offering agricultural sciences. Many universities offer exemptions for diploma holders, typically allowing entry into the second or third year of a related degree programme.

Fees are reviewed annually and vary by programme. Current fees cover tuition, practical training, and examination costs. Accommodation and meal fees are charged separately. Yes. The college allows fees to be paid in instalments. Typically, a deposit is required at registration, with the balance spread across the semester. Specific instalment schedules are communicated at the beginning of each academic year. Students are encouraged to settle fees timeously to avoid disruptions to their studies and examination access.

Yes, the college provides on-campus hostel accommodation for both male and female students. Rooms are shared (typically 2–4 students per room) and include basic furnishings. Accommodation is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration is recommended. Students may also choose to arrange their own off-campus accommodation in Esigodini town.

The college dining hall provides meals for boarding students — typically breakfast, lunch, and supper. Meals are included in the boarding fee. Day scholars may also purchase meals at subsidised rates. The menu is designed to provide balanced nutrition, with options that accommodate common dietary needs. A campus tuck shop is also available for snacks and essentials.

Esigodini Agricultural College is located in Esigodini, Matabeleland South Province, approximately 45 km south of Bulawayo along the Bulawayo–Beitbridge highway. From Bulawayo, you can take a commuter omnibus or bus heading to Esigodini and disembark at the college turn-off. The campus is well-signposted. Private transport and taxi services are also available.

The student portal can be accessed via the "Student Portal" link on our website homepage. Your login credentials (username and initial password) are provided upon registration. If you are a new student and have not received your credentials, check your registration email or contact the IT Department. First-time users will be prompted to change their password.

Click "Forgot Password" on the portal login page and enter your registered email address or student number. A password reset link will be sent to your email. If you do not receive the email within 10 minutes, check your spam/junk folder. If the problem persists, contact the IT Department with your student ID for manual reset.

Examination results are published on the student portal after official release by HEXCO. Log in, navigate to "Academics" → "Results", and select the relevant semester. Results are also posted on physical notice boards at the college. Note that online results are provisional until official certificates are issued.

If the issue persists, you can make a direct bank transfer to the college account and email the proof of payment to the Finance Department with your student number as reference. Report the technical issue to IT Support so it can be resolved.

E-learning resources are accessible through the "E-Learning" link on the homepage. Use your student portal credentials to log in. Once logged in, you will see your enrolled courses with downloadable notes, assignment submissions, and discussion forums. If a course is missing, contact your lecturer or the IT Department to ensure you are properly enrolled.
